Forthcoming Gigs:

109 GIGS PLAYED... AND COUNTING!

Retrobution are a six-piece band based in and around Milton Keynes in the UK - a classic line up of five instrumentalists and a lead vocalist, plus a heap of well-known songs have resulted in a rapidly-growing following.

We originally formed in Summer 2000 almost by accident, during a series of workshops held for local musicians at The Stables, Wavendon. Following a hugely successful end-of-term gig (where we had everyone dancing in the aisles), we decided to continue with the band that became Retrobution. A couple of line up changes later, and we're still going strong.

We play cover versions drawn from a wide range of styles - songs by the Rolling Stones and Free sit next to hits by Bryan Adams and Queen in our song list. And that's just the first set!

Our second set typically begins with classic soul standards in the style of the Blues Brothers and Commitments, before turning to good old-fashioned rock'n'roll.

You WILL dance!

Comments:

...Retrobution came on stage next and kept up the pace with a selection of covers from across the years. Ending with 'I Predict A Riot' by the Kaiser Chiefs. Everyone loved it, but looking around me a riot was the last thing people were going to do here! An excellent set by them.

Well what can I say, you and the guys were fantastic. You played some excellent music and looked so happy. Everyone had such a good time

Carla and Dominic (bride and groom)

We all had a great weekend but are shagged out! You went down really well with everyone, and on behalf of the committee I would like to say a big thanks to all of you…
